Intrepid Travel offers small-group adventure tours that show you the world as it really is. Intrepid's low-priced tours immerse you in the local culture of each place visited. Some trips fall into the "adventure" category because of the far-flung destinations visited, and others are considered to be adventurous because of included activities like hiking, kayaking or camping.
Like other operators, Intrepid includes accommodations, transportation, some meals and guided sightseeing in the upfront price. To keep prices low and uphold the company's philosophy of sustainable tourism, Intrepid might use local transportation rather than a private motorcoach and family-owned cafes instead of larger restaurant chains. Accommodations are selected for their unique ambiance and easy access to important sites.
Intrepid's Europe tours carry just 10 people on average and provide the freedom and flexibility of independent travel, along with the security of traveling with a group and an experienced tour director. Your tour director will share valuable insight and help you make the most of every new experience.
Europe tours are classified according to the quality and location of hotels and restaurants and the number of included meals and activities. Intrepid tours are categorized as budget on the industry rating scale (budget, first class and deluxe).
